Expected result

Precaution
The skin cannot be tanned during the treatment process. The to be treated area cannot be exposed to sun or a sunbed for at least 6 weeks prior to the treatment. We recommend consistently applying sunscreen with SPF 30 or 50 to the area to be treated and/or covering the area.
During treatment
The skin therapist adjusts the laser to your skin type and the characteristics of the striae. She places the laser head on the to be treated area and gives pulses until the entire striae area has been treated. The laser pulses of the fractional laser penetrate deep into the skin, stimulating connective tissue cells to produce collagen. The production of new collagen ensures that the skin looks smoother and feels suppler. Pigment cells recover, making skin discoloration in the scar less visible. Because the laser head contains a cooled tip, the treatment is experienced as tolerable.
Aftercare
Immediately after the treatment, redness and swelling can occur, depending on the settings of the parameters. The swelling decreases within a few hours and the redness will reduce within the next few days. You can resume your daily activities the same day. Y Your therapist will advise you to avoid the sun for a minimum of 2 weeks after treatment and protect your skin with a SPF50 protection factor.
