There are several skin conditions that express themselves in the form of redness that can disfigure your face. Think of rosacea, rosacea, spider naevi (spider cup), cherry wratjes (hemangioma), diffuse redness or a wine stain.
The IPL module of the Lumenis M22 system is used to treat redness in the face. This is also called flash therapy. It is an effective method to reduce or even remove red skin color differences.
Expected result
It takes the body about two weeks after treatment to break down and drain the vessels. After that, the skin is restored and the redness and/or kegs will disappear.

Precaution
The area cannot be tanned by the sun, a sunbed or by self-tanning. Avoid UV rays 4 to 6 weeks prior to the treatment and apply sunscreen with at least SPF30 several times a day.
During treatment
The area should be clean, there cannot be any make-up or other cosmetic products on the face. Glasses are worn to protect your eyes. The practitioner applies a layer of gel on the area that has been marked off to be treated. She places the laser head on the skin and gives pulses until the entire area is treated. The light is converted into heat in the skin and heats up the vascular wall, the vessels clot and blood can no longer flow through them. The surrounding tissue of the vessel is heated to a minimum, so the skin itself remains intact. During the pulses you can feel heat and pinpricks. This heat can still be felt after the treatment, which is why we always cool the skin.
Aftercare
Redness and a slightly swollen skin can occur after the treatment. Sometimes the vessels are more visible the days after the treatment which means that the vessels are damaged and will quickly disappear. Depending on the recovery capacity of the body and the thickness of the vessels, this can take a few days, up to 2 weeks. In order to have an optimal effect of the treatment we advise not to exercise intensively, not going to the sauna, not to exfoliate or massage the skin and not to consume alcohol for up to 5 days after the treatment. It is important to leave the skin alone as much as possible. In addition, stay out of the sun for at least 4 weeks after the treatment. If you cannot avoid the sun, use sunscreen with SPF30 or higher.
